What makes this bass special: An absolutely gorgeous vintage reissue of Hofner's 500/1 Violin Bass from '62. Features include a two-piece maple neck with horizontal headstock logo, arched flame maple back & Hofner's Staple pickups. Delivering that classic Hofner tone & professionally set up by our own luthier, so it's in perfect playing condition.Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with only mild surface scratches.Neck: Semi-chunky maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.Body: Violin-shaped hollow body with 4-ply bound top & back. Solid spruce top with gorgeous flame maple back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & pearloid pickguard. Bass weighs 4 lbs 12.8 oz. Nice, light weight!
Pickups: Hofner Staple pickups with nickel covers & black bezels. Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs; on/off switches for each pickup along with rhythm/solo switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Original hardshell case included along with Hofner booklet & leather strap.
