Hi I have an Akai MPC4000 for sale, it is in excellent condition. I always kept it covered and took well care of it. It operates absolutely perfect, it has the Effects upgrade installed (This option has like 50 different FX's that really do sound good), and it also has the 512mb RAM upgrade for about an hour of sampling time. A 60gb internal HDD, & an internal CD ROM drive. Also has a USB drive for saving your work on USB sticks or thumb drives. Also has a Built in SCSI port. ^ midi ports, & RCA/Phono inputs with Built in Phono Pre-amp so NO Mixer pre-amp needed! The LCD screen is perfect, very bright & clear with No defects & the tilt works excellently. ALL of the Functions, Knobs, Faders, Inputs/Outputs and buttons all work exactly like they should. All 16 Drum Pads trigger exactly like they should. This is one of the last 4000's around that are still in like-new condition. It always works like a tank, never had a single issue. Latest O.S. is 1.71. I personally liked the 4000 over all the other MPC's models because it sounds great, it records at 24bit. It also has a re-sampling option that really makes your drums sound gritty especially when you add some effects like Distortion. I like to re-sample at 8-12 bit and 22050 Khz and then add some distortion. This really gives your drums a Dirty/Grit. And I like to record my Melody samples at 24 bit which is like straight up High Definition. This unit has No damage, I looked it over before I took some detailed photos and I could only find a few hairlike blemishes here and there but overall the unit is really nice, the paint is still bright & looks great. I also like the 4000's sampling/recording feature which allows you play a Sequence while you are in the Record/Sampling feature. I usually just play a basic Drum Sequence(Kick/Snare/H-Hat's) and while those drums are playing you can also listen to the vinyl record playing over the Sequence. All the other MPC's including the 2000xl can't do this feature. The Filters on this MPC is also insane. It breaks my heart to see this Beautiful MPC go. Included with the MPC 4000 is the Owner's Manual & the power cord. I can even give you a quick lesson to get you started making beats on the 4000.
