1920's Whyte Laydie , 11+13/16 (12) inch head , original pot except for tailpiece , armrest , head , bridge , strings etc . The rest looks original to me . It was originally on a tenor banjo , serial number - 60029 , the six is not too clear .The part finished neck was from the estate of Barry Murphy . It was finished and fitted by Dave Stacey . It is superb in every way , beautifulIt has a high bridge , @3/4" and a low easy action with a bright yet slightly plummy tone and loads of volume . I play it as a 4/string but it is ready for a 5th one to be easily added . A player's dream .My attempts at photos do not do it justice so it needs to be seen and played to really appreciate it .There is no case so collection is the best option but if posted it will be well packed . Free postage within the UK otherwise the Global fees apply .
