This is a used amp in excellent shape. It has some minor scuffs but nothing major. It comes with the road case and footswitch. This is supposedly the first one that Hook has made specifically for the US..The R40 is a 6L6 based dual channel amplifier, with an active effects-loop and a vintage sparkling spring reverb. If you need more headroom and power than its big and creamy smaller brother the R20, the R40 will bring it to you.  If you play Humbuckers mainly and you might want to stay cleaner a little longer, the R40 will set you up with a solid base clean, is loud enough for big punchy chords and works perfect with pedals. It has that same classic american bouncy tone as the R20.  The lead channel has a tight bass response, fat creamy mids, with enough treble bite to cut though the mix. Both channels have reverb and are foot switchable with the included switch.
