This is an absolutely Beautiful ! 1979 Slingerland "The Traveler" Kit (from the slingerland catalog) 22" bass drum 12,13,mounted toms & 16" floor tom. 5 ply Maple/poplar/maple/poplar/Maple shells. Natural Interiors Chrome is excellent! .Really no pitting to speak of. Just a light sign of pitting here and there. ( mostly on a couple of rims.) Original White Marine Pearl wrap is in good condition. The 16 and 22 have some yellowing. Very typical and pretty normal for this vintage WMP. This is a 2 owner kit. Was Purchased used in 1983. NO EXTRA HOLES anywhere on this kit. This is a factory matched kit. All rims, tension rods, washers are original.( 4 tension rods on the 16 are a touch shorter slingerland. could have came originally) Badges are in excellent condition. All bearing edges are factory and good. drums are in round. Bottom heads on all the toms & reso bass drum head are there Original slingerland factory heads from when they rolled out of the Niles Illinois factory in 1979. I put the bottom original slingerland smooth white black dot heads on the top & put some used Remo clear amb. on the bottoms. the bass drum has an evans clear hydraulic batter head . All toms have there original Slingerland chrome over steel stick saver rims. A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS FINISH/ERA KIT!( depth x head )14" x 22" bass drum - Has 20 lugs , t-rods and claws. Original spurs, double tom post & bracket. Hoops are in excellent condition and both have complete original chrome inlays.Has its original Slingerland logo head on the reso side and a used Evans clear hydraulic head on the batter side.
