This is a vintage Wm. S. Haynes all sterling silver piccolo made in Boston, MA. I called Haynes to inquire more about this instrument and I was told that according to their records it was manufactured in 1921 and it is is the key of C, A=335 (low pitch) and features gold springs. I had the piccolo overhauled recently with Luciene deLuxe double skin yellow pads. The entire mechanism was disassembled in order to be cleaned & oiled. The entire instrument is in very good condition with no major dings or scratches, very rare for an instrument this old. It plays beautifully in all registers with a sweet and focused tone and projection is very good. Comes in the original case which does not require the instrument to be disassembled.
