A fine, French rare 3/4 size violin bow made by Marcel Lapierre ca. 1955, certified by J.F. Raffin, Y. Le Canu and S. Bigot. Marcel Lapierre was trained by Jerome Thibouville-Lamy and later worked with F. Lotte, Morizot brothers, L. Bazin and E.A. Ouchard. The style of E.A. Ouchard was the most important influence for Lapierre.This is a good and characteristic example of the maker's work, also EXCELLENT SOUNDING AND HANDLING BOW. 
The stick is red brown pernambuco, round, strong with very beautiful, powerful sound and a excellent handling. The length of the stick is 65.9 cm and the weight of the bow is 56.7 g. This bow is in a very good condition with some small restoration done to the frog.
