Before reading the description of this item, I urge you to first check out my Ebay Seller Feedback. As you will see, my feedback is not only 100% positive--it's over-the-top giddy, a number noting not only the instrument's quality but also my integrity and knowledge and objectivity.  I never disappoint.  (To find out why buyers again and again describe my sells as "best experience I've ever had on Ebay," skip the description and see the WHAT I DO section at the end of the listing.)
Make offer!  Even though this has the BEST PRICE ANYWHERE for this guitar, I'm out of work and will consider anything reasonable.
Vintage (probably early 80s) Asturias AST-50 Classical Guitar in superb condition--perfect playing order, NO ISSUES, with original hard shell case in good condtion. Made in Japan during the Golden Era of Japanese luthiery, this guitar is signed by legendary builder Wataru Tsuji and is priced very competitively with other Asturias guitars of this vintage in this condition. (If you come across other examples of this model, be sure to look at the label. Due to its reputation, this is one of the most-often faked guitar out there; look for the second, signed, under label.) Go online and read the reviews: Consistently rated the best deal out there for the money--one of the few guitars that really does replicate many of the qualities of Spanish classicals selling for 5 times more. Solid cedar top, ebony fretboard, exquisite Indian rosewood body (double-sided), low action (3.4mm on low E--but hardly any room left to lower), super silky player, imperial sound, bone nut and compensated bone saddle, great Gotoh tuners (with adjustable through-posts). You simply won't find anything with comparable materials, workmanship, playability and SOUND for this price--unless you buy it from me (check out other VV: guitar listings). Sound is imperial: full and clear throughout the spectrum, strong basses, bell-like mids, singing trebles; nice balance between articulation and a certain Spanish sweetness. Superb overall condition. Frets are in terrific shape. There is a tiny hairline finish runner on the bass side of the fretboard--not a crack, affects nothing, but feel I should mention. A couple of other minor dings that may not have made the photos. Otherwise just about perfect. Case shows signs of wear but is in perfect working order. Back in the day, this was probably the most recommended guitar by classical teachers. The firm is still going (and still small) but it is generally agreed that the older middle-models are far better than the current higher ones due to superior materials, workmanship and, most obviously, as they have the one quality you can't build into a guitar: the sound of age. Feel free to inquire further about this and other great VV: guitar deals--right now, I've come upon a treasure trove of a collection a close friend wants to move for him; he's offered me a great price for the lot and I'm more than happy to pass savings along to you.  Inventory includes some AMAZING classical and flamenco guitars--Spanish guitars by Francisco Fernandez and Rafael Diaz; vintage Asturias; an astonishing "Starburst" classical by Darren Hippner (new--best price by a mile):   706-372-4310.
