The MKL-101 from AEGThe AEG MKL-101 was introduced in 2000 as the first faithful reproduction of the classic German tube microphone.       The preamp is an exact replica or a classic German circuit completely handmade using a vintage Telefunken EF12 (short black tube).   This is the same preamp design in the original U47, but with an EF12 instead of the now nearly impossible to find VF14., The microphone is hardwired, by microphone experts with advanced degrees.  If a sweatshop factory could spit these out they would, but all other factory made bottle microphone replicas we have seen, contain some shortcuts that make them differ from the originals, some even sneak in op amp chips.   This microphone is simple and eloquent, and out performs the other look-a-likes, even the one that cost upwards of $6000, I won't say which $6000 mic, but it comes only in the color Blue. The capsule is a three position switchable on the power supply, and a faithful reproduction of the U47 capsule.   The microphones uses a vintage German transformer as well as vintage German tube. The power supply is an exclusive AEG design which is switchable from 110-120v to 230-240v depending on where in the world you are.   It uses modern voltage regulation and a custom wound power transformer, as well as the convenience of modern XLR connectors.     It is hand assembled and wired, and checked twice. This listing includes the microphone, power supply, and cable. This microphone's power supply is 120v-240vThis microphone comes with a 14 day trial period, but we have never gotten a return yet.I have more great vintage microphone for sale, and microphone parts, so please check my other auctions.   Like "Microphone Boutique" on Facebook for all the latest news.Shipping via USPS priority mail or FedEx depending on your location and what's best for you.International shipping via USPS Express mail (EMS), because only they can offer the best tracking and delivery, sorry that it's pricey, but the charge for international shipping is all postage costs, no mark-up.Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for your interest.
