This is a beautiful example of the B&S Blue Label tenor, made in Germany in the 1970's, I believe. The silver or nickel plate is gorgeous for a horn this old. This tenor has a beautiful sound. It is one of my favorite tenors. I've seen this horn referred to as the 'Mark VI beater.' I think this is because they are warm, centered in terms of dark and bright and focused and spread. For me these have great intonation. This one has a recent full overhaul with leveling of tone holes. New roo pads. The action is smooth and fast. Nice full bottom and mid range and an even core sound throughout. This is a special one. The new overhaul and pads have very little playing time on them. Comes with a very good condition, non original case. ... I have another of these that I'm keeping - it's silver plate is not in quite as good condition. ...No international shipping.
