Be sure to check out my other listings! Here we have a very rare Gibson John Lennon J-160E Imagine acoustic guitar. As you probably know, John's actual J-160E was auctioned off last fall and sold for over $2 million. Guitars related to him are the most collectible guitars on the planet. These Gibson reissues are no exception, as they are some of the most sought-after collector guitars to ever come out of Gibson.Only 70 of these were produced in 2010, one for each of the 70 years which had passed from John's birth. His birth date is engraved in the pearl inlay at the 12th fret. John Lennon's signature is inlaid in abalone on the headstock. This guitar features a sitka spruce top, with mahogany back and sides. The J-160 shares the body shape of the Gibson J-45, but is a much more electro-friendly acoustic guitar. The guitar is designed to be feedback-resistant. This may have been part of the reason John Lennon favored the J-160E. This guitar is built with the exact specs of the J-160E that John Lennon used. Its tone is very reminiscent of many of the Beatles' recordings. One strum of the guitar will take you back to the 1960's when the Beatles had the world enraptured with their revolutionary music. This guitar is mint, unplayed condition.Included with the guitar is original hardshell case and all case candy.Feel free to call me with any questions: 435.406.9281
