It has an etched number in the wooden frame underneath of 20436 and a Harrods number of H50042. I can't find a number on the cast iron frame but I am told by a piano specialist that these are sometimes removed by restorers, probably by Harrods. The piano specialist has given me the dates of 1902 and 1944 from these numbers.It has a large motif on the wooden soundboard under the strings with a long list of Royal Appointments and the English one is HRH Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. At the bottom it states Manufactured expressly for the tropics.
Measuring approximately 6ft 7inches deep and 4ft 10inches wide (201cm x 148cm)A very powerful instrument which plays beautifully with a vibrant base and a bell like treble.
