This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1973 Gretsch 3 piece drum outfit. Shells are constructed out of six-ply, super-thin all-maple shells. and the drums are factory finished in silver "resocoat" enamel on the insides.Sizes are; 14" deep x 20" wide bass drum ( no serial # ), 9" deep x 13" wide tom-tom ( serial # 10981), and a 16" deep x 16" wide floor tom ( serial # 11736 ). Each drum has a Gretsch hex-shaped badge. These drums are factory wrapped in Gretsch silver glass glitter. As you can see from my pictures, the silver glitter wrap is in amazing condition, and it glistens and shines like new! The two tom-toms will easily fit modern REMO and EVANS drum heads. The bass drum is slightly oversized, and special oversized AQUARIAN drum heads will be required to fit the bass drum shell. Unfortunately, the batter side of the bass drum has had it's outer bearing edge filed down ever so slightly, to accept American drum heads. Also, the bottom seams were loose when I bought this drum, and they have been professionally re-glued back to the shell. Some of the pearl is broken off near the edges of three of the seams ( see picture # 6 ). The bass drum is outfitted with sixteen Gretsch "Broadkaster" lugs, Two telescoping Gretsch bass drum spurs and brackets, a Gretsch cymbal mounting bracket, a Gretsch Jimmy Pratt internal muffler assembly,16 Gretsch Bass drum tension rods & claws, and two matching Gretsch maple bass drum hoops with matching silver glass glitter inlays. The bass drum was originally factory outfitted with a Gretsch rail consolette tom holder. The rail consolette is missing and four carriage bolts are placed in the original mounting points.The floor tom-tom is equipped with sixteen Gretsch "Broadkaster" lugs, two Gretsch internal muffler assemblies, three Gretsch floor tom leg brackets, two Gretsch die-cast hoops and 16 Gretsch tension rods. Three original Gretsch large diameter floor legs ( one is slightly longer ).The 13" mounted tom is equipped with twelve Gretsch "Broadkaster" lugs, two Gretsch internal muffler assemblies, a Gretsch Diamond plate tom mounting bracket, two Gretsch die-cast hoops, and 12 tension rods.All of the metal fittings are brilliantly chrome plated and are in excellent condition, and there is almost no pitting on the fittings..A Gretsch large diameter L-arm cymbal holder is included, but it does not have a tilter, the cymbal just bolts directly to the threaded cymbal rod..
