Up for Sale is my Music Man Axis Sport, the original guitar that later became the super sport. I've played super sports, and these are just as nice (minus the fancy binding) but are great if you like a HSS setup, and I prefer the ash over basswood. It has the infamous Music Man silent circuit © which cancels the hum in the single coils without altering the sound quality (the biggest knock on strats). It takes a 9 volt battery for the hum canceling, which would last me a year, but also works without the battery (with normal single coil hum). It's in good used shape, there only are a few blemishes- a small chip in the finish (pictured at the end of the pics), and two hairline fractures in the finish around the neck from it curing too quickly. A luthier looked at it and confirmed that they were only on the surface. It has some nice features- -made of solid ash (the super sports switched to basswood), with a clear poly finish -Ernie Ball MM tremolo -Schaller Locking tuners -Music Man patented silent circuit -Maple neck w/rosewood fingerboard (non lacquer soft finish) -HSS Dimarzio alnico p'ups -Compound radius fingerboard/frets -MM wheel at bottom of neck for easy truss rod access, and fine adjustment It has been professionally set up, for some nice easy action Comes with a nice thickly padded MM Axis gig bag (there were no strings for the pictures but it has a new set on ready to ship) Thanks for looking! -Eli
