Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a somewhat rare 1970 Electro Voice 676 Dynamic Cardioid microphone with excellent sound quality and rugged construction. It comes with the mic clip and case shown. The 66 model mic was manufactured for about 30 years starting in the very early 1950's and was a state of the art mic that cost buyers an arm and a leg which is why you don't see to many of these around. If you demanded the best dynamic cardiod handheld mic to be had...this was the one. It was ultra light weight with incredible sound and the design never really changed with the exception of the front screen. I put an ad of this mic from the 1950's in pic # 2 so you can see the characteristics of the 666. you'll notice the early 666 had the rounded front screen. E.V changed the 666 to the flat screen around the mid to late 1950's. This 666 has been tested and has a good signal. This particular model is set at 150 OHMS or Medium Z so don't expect to get a lot of bass out of this unless you have a mixer or E.Q in which case you can easily manipulate the sound. This 666 shows typical wear for a mic that's 40 + years old. The original paint shows quite a few scuffs and scratches. A few chips in the paint here and there but actually one of the nicer I have seen. The screens shows minimal paint loss and is free of any dents. The label shows the same amount of wear but still very legible. Everything is real tight on this 666...nothing loose. An original E.V mic clip is included in this sale and provides a perfect fit with lots of tension and wide degree of tilt for the mic up or down. The clip will screw on to any American desk or floor stand. Also included is the microphone carrying case with new foam inserts. This case is made out of stamped quality steel and comes in it's original dark grey paint scheme. As you can see the box shows almost no wear at all and the locking mechanism works perfectly. Two new foam inserts were added as the original were pretty much shot. The foam is soft and will protect your mic of choice nicely when not being used. A great way to protect your investment and these boxes are basically built like a tank. The boxes dimensions are 9 inches long X 4 inches across X 2 1/4 inches tall. This box will accept just about any E.V mic (or any manufacture of mics) so long as it's under the dimensions given. The 666 fits perfectly as well. Case is a 9 cosmetically on a scale of 1 - 10. The mic is cosmetically a 6 +. The 666 does need a female 3 pin Cannon UA-3-11 style cable to operate.
