Vintage MSA pedal steel guitar. Starting bid £600.00
This vintage MSA Pedal Steel Guitar is pre-1974, Serial number 100133. It’s one of the earliest hand-made models and very rare, from before they merged with Micro and began production line guitars. The instrument is really well built, nice accurate and solid with an amazing warm tone. It has an E9th neck set-up with 12 strings, 4 foot pedals and 4 knee levers. It’s made of steel and aluminum for most everything, almost no plastic. The tuners for the stops are steel as well. Holds tune really well. It’s finished in Rosewood mica. In good condition. I put the front sticker on when I first bought the guitar from a guy who told me the guitar was previously owned by Pete Willsher. The new owner will have to replace the strings as they do need changing. One has broken. This is a great pedal steel guitar even by today's standards. A new MSA like this would set you back well over £3,300.00 Its certainly not one someone has knocked up in the back yard out of flimsy materials! It comes with a solid case made by the previous owner. All it needs is a volume pedal picks, steel and new strings plus a little TLC and you’re away! I’ve owned the guitar for 41 years. We’re having our first baby so really need the space!
I asked Dave the MSA rep about the machine on Facebook and here is the question I asked him and his response --- Hi Dave, Can you tell me what year the machine is with the number I gave you?Wed 1:00pm
Sorry, cant... I do know it was Pre MSA/Micro, 65 to 70 I would say...Postage is £20.00 next day UPS. Or collect for free.
