I am a Concert Violinist, teacher, and performer. I have studied music and the violin for 35 years. I graduated from Dreyfoos School of The Arts, and then attended The Cleveland Institute of Music.    I am not an instrument dealer and have not sold a violin in the past 10 years. The offering of this amazing 3/4  E. R. Pfretschner violin is unique for many reasons. I used the violin by loaning it to several young prodigy students over a period of years. Most students could not afford a violin with projection and sound quality of this caliber, yet needed it to properly develop the skills necessary to learn to project, as well as play in the upper registers.    This violin has a remarkable history of restoration and the addition of the "extraordinary" sound bar invention by "Peter Zaret" of Cleveland Ohio.    (See "Peter Zaret" online and read the testimonial of  "Isacc Stern'" among other famous violinists)   The violin was completely restored by master luthier Albert Alberti, of Alberti violins. All graduations of thickness were made perfect, seams checked, and professional accessories added with precise fitting.    The end result is a 3/4 violin with the sound quality, tone, projection and appearance of a $100,000 fine old Italian violin without the high price. If you have a young child or simply prefer to play on a smaller nimble violin, choosing the right violin is not only difficult, but costly as well.   There are many violins for sale with the Pfretschner label from $100 to several thousands, but this violin from 1957 has the craftsmanship rarely found in the makers later years history.    I have recorded two selections with the violin years back and shared them to YouTube. Please visit the site to hear the incredibly rich tone for yourself. You can hear it by typing:         " johnolsenviolin's channel".........Into 'You Tube'    Sample 1: Bach g minor Sonata    Sample.2: Schindlers List   The violin comes with a beautiful oblong violin case by Core, a wolf shoulder rest, and a superb bow made by M. CORRELI. The bow is made of fine pernambuco wood, and has an ivory inlaid frog. It is as straight as an arrow and the wood grain is very tight.   I paid $1200 for the violin, $750 for the Peter Zaret sound bar, $1000 for restoration along with $300 for the bow, and $225 for the case. So for an investment of  $3200.00, results in the sound and playability of a rare Italian violin.    I have reduced the price from $2,250.00 down to $1,199.00 with Best offers considered, in order to make it affordable enough to be purchased and played. I only ask that you pass along the favor if you choose to sell it.   Please Call or Text John at: (863) 447-574two.  God bless,
