AEG/RTT "THE BALL" Tube Microphone from AEG-MoscowThis is a limited edition microphone made by AEG in Moscow. Inside the ball is a LOMO 19a19 preamp, using the 6S31B tube and a vintage LOMO transformer.This microphone uses the a subminiature tube, which is the Russian analog of the famous Telefunken AC701k tube. The capsule is a cardioid, one sided K67 clone, known as the RTT and AEG M3, the original premium Oktava upgrade from the early 2000's, it is an exact copy of the vintage German capsule who's name we can not speak for legal reasons, because AEG took apart a vintage 67 capsule and copied it exactly. "The Ball" is a work of art and a labor of love. It is hand turned and polished and it's sleek design is a tribute to the vintage Deco/Space Age Soviet style.It comes with the cable, a new AEG power supply unit, and a low profile shock mount that makes the ball appear to levitate in the air.Here's a demo video:
