Up for sale, a 1962 Fender Tube Reverb Unit in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This early Pre-CBS all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, powered by a complete vintage tube set, including a 6K6 power tube and RCA and Amperex valves in the preamp. With controls for Dwell, Mix and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp!The circuit is clean and well maintained, with the famed blue Ajax capacitors in the preamp and stock transformers that all date to 1962. The main filter caps and smaller bypass caps have been replaced so as to keep the unit operating within original factory spec, and the new caps were sleeved in original capacitor tubes so as to retain the vintage aesthetic. Otherwise, the circuit is untouched! The Stackpole and CTS pots date between late 1961 and early 1962 with original solder joints. The original Accutronics two-spring tank is also present and sporting original RCA cables with braided shielding running to the circuit. The tube chart is intact as well, showing moderate wear around the corners, but still legible.The original rough brown tolex and wheat grillcloth are in fantastic shape, along with the original leather handle, flat metal "Fender" logo, and all four original nickel feet. The faceplate is extremely clean, showing only the lightest wear and boasting original brown barrel knobs.Don't miss out on this 1962 Fender Reverb Unit, well maintained and stocked with vintage tubes!
