Resisted due to the Japanese buyer realising it is too difficult/ expensive to ship to Japan:
Virginal ( Clavichord ) by Alec Hodsdon, Lavenham, the case is walnut,
four octaves and five Keys, with blackwood and boxwood accidentals,
inscribed: Alec Hodsdon Lavenham Suffolk fecit anno 1951,
full length 4' 10½, not played for a longer period of time and
might therefore be in need of a service ..... Couple of strings have broken.
No cracks in the soundboard.
Comes with a tuning key and nos leather pads.
Some instructions and a manual also as seen in photos.
Dimensions see last photo. I have some more photos and can send them. Can be viewed and tried in London / Farringdon EC1a 9BU Pickup only or arrange a courier of your choice.
