The Arcus bows of the S-series are without any doubt the stars of the product line. Many soloists have chosen one of them. They are incredibly fast and agile, bounce with unique energy and still sit perfectly steady on the strings. With a weight below 50 grams they are lighter than any romantic bow while their resiliency (stiffness) is 80% higher affording a much more powerful playing style if required. This lightness also allows the player to play Bach and Mozart beautifully and delicately on instruments with a modern setup and strings. They are also great for rock, folk or jazz music where their brilliant sound and fast, strong playing is ideal. The S-bows’ bright and shining sound makes it a perfect fit for dark sounding instruments. If your violin plays too brightly on the E-string and rather flat on the G-string we recommend the P-bows which pull a warmer, darker sound.
