2016 Gibson 1938 SJ-200 Adirondack/Rosewood Custom ShopYou are bidding on a mint 2016 Gibson 1938 SJ-200 Rosewood Custom Shop acoustic guitar. Built by the craftsmen in Gibson's Custom Shop, this guitar is as beautiful as it is unique. The 1938 SJ-200 is a recreation of one of the earliest Super Jumbo Gibsons. Beautiful Adirondack Red Spruce top with Flamed Maple neck. East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Gold Grover Imperial tuners adorn the headstock. Trademark Gibson Moustache bridge with mother of pearl inlays. Mother of pearl inlays in the fretboard and the headstock. Unique multi-colored dot inlays in the pickguard. And, one of the most gorgeous tri-burst finishes you will ever see. One of the hardest to find Gibson Custom Shop models for 2016.Back in the day, country music artists ruled the music landscape and singing cowboys were the national music heroes. But any singing cowboy worth his salt needed an acoustic guitar that looked great, and sounded even better. Gibson set out to build the biggest and best looking acoustic guitar money could buy. Tonewoods were an obvious choice back then. Adirondack Red Spruce was chosen for the top to deliver that strong and powerful tone. Rosewood was chosen to add depth and fullness to the sound. Now that they had an unrivaled sound, Gibson had to make this guitar as striking as it sounded. Trademark Gibson sunburst finish was required as was a multi-colored pickguard to really grab your attention. The end result was the 1938 SJ-200 which was recently recreated this year. A wonderful tribute to the earliest Super Jumbo Gibsons. But Gibson only built a very limited number of these amazing guitars. Don't let this one get away. A truly special recreation of the acoustic guitar that has made Gibson famous.No dents, dings, barely any signs that this guitar has been played. This guitar is in mint condition.
