Helicon = hella horn. Imagine BLASTING sound out if this thing like a bazooka , that's how it feels holding this thing . That big bell facing your audience getting Whalloped with sound . AWESOME!! Helicon be Henry Pourcelle it also says C Bruno and Sons. New your and Paris . This is a very old instrument , pre 1900 from what I've found online TBH I really don't know. There are some dents around the top see pictures. I don't have the mouth piece or I think there might be a coupling for the mouthpiece I dint know for sure . There is some kind of paste on the inside if the bell like someone was going to polish but didn't remove it . The valves seem good to me . Small crack where dented . No case . From the estate if Herb Reed of the platters , was bought at an auction , I'm looking for the paperwork , but it really doesn't say much .
