Yes.....this is an ultra rare pre-serial number Oyster Black Pearl Jazz Festival Snare Drum and it is in beautiful 100% original condition. The only difference between this Jazz Fest and Ringo's Jazz Fest is it's earlier model round knob muffler and location. This one also has the Ludwig plastic ended snare wires, the Ringo snare has metal ended wires. The P-83 strainer is located on the panel next to the Keystone Badge and drum has chrome over brass hoops. It currently has a brand new set of Remo Ambassador heads but the original Ludwig Weather Master Heads are also included.  Pre-serial # Keystone Chicago Badge - Snare dates to 1961-62. The date stamp is almost completely gone and I can only barely make out a "9". Oyster Black Pearl Finish - Very vibrant and true to the original color. Continues into the scarf joint. Some minor scratches/fine scratches under the muffler knob. The scratches are minor and can only be seen very closeup so they are hard to photograph. No splits or chips.3ply shell with reinforcement rings - Depth is a little under 5.5" (about 5 3/8") X 14" - 8 Lug. No holes or modifications. Minor split in one reinforcement ring (shown in closeup), this is a common natural split and is not damaged.Excellent factory bearing edges. Factory white painted interior. Super clean and still has the pencil markings from the factory.P-83 Strainer functions flawlessly.Very nice COB hoops with the wide bottom snare gate. Small knob rotary muffler also works flawlessly.Classic lugs only have a few spots of pitting.Ludwig 20 strand snare wires with no missing strands.  Chrome hardware only shows very minor wear...even the heads of the screws and tension rods are in great condition.One of the most desirable and collectible snare drums and it sounds great! Please check out photos and ask any questions.                  Shipping is FREE to the lower 48 US states.
