Gorgeous 1960s Gretsch Round Badge Bop Outfit topped off with the correct Max Roach model 4x14 snare drum. These drums have been rewrapped in the correct gold sparkle by precision drum company and all of the seams have been matched to the original locations that would have come out of the Gretsch factory. The details of each drum below. 18x14 : (6-ply) : This drum started its life as a 18" SSB era bass drum that was finished in walnut. The drum was a 4 point rail mount which has been converted to a 60's consolette rail. This is an original vintage Gretsch 18" bass drum and the drums of this era (especially the early models such as this one) were identical to the Round Badge shells. The hoops have been completely refurbished with fresh black paint. The drum is in excellent condition with very clean bearing edges. 14x14 : (6-ply) : An original 60s Round Badge shell, this drum is in great condition as well. No modifications. The interior shows evidence of the seam being reinforced with glue with a small fracture that extends over the edge. This has been tested to see if there is any give in the shell, and it is super tough. The bearing edges are extremely clean. The hoops have typical wear with some scratches and the floor tom legs are Maxwell reproductions. 12x8 : (3-ply) Excellent condition. The hardware is very clean, bearing edges are original and there are no modifications to the drum.4x14 : (3-ply) Excellent condition. This drum is an original max roach 3 ply shell with no modifications. Minimal wearing and pitting on the hardware. Shipping quote for continental US only.
