1933-34 Gibson Kalamazoo "Senior" - KG-11 Style Small Body Acoustic w/Orig. Case
Estimated price for orientation: 720 $
Category: Acoustic Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Kalamazoo Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Dexterity: Right-Handed
1 - 1933-34 Gibson-made Kalamazoo "Senior" - KG-11 style small body acoustic flat-top guitar. Original case included."Senior" model is believed to have been made only in '33 and '34. Zipper hole binding (which also was used exclusively in the early years) would support that. Differs from other KG-11 style models in that the back of guitar is bound as well as the front. Solid spruce top. Solid mahogany back, sides and neck. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Ebony nut. Bone saddle. Two piece top (some were made with 3 pieces). In the past the neck has been reset and re-fretted and various seam separations were re-glued. My luthier replaced the tuners with StewMac "Golden Era" repros, cut a new ebony nut, made a new bone saddle, dressed frets and set up guitar for Elixer Lights.I've owned 4 of these over time. This is the best of the bunch in terms of both sound and playability. Action is a bit high but there's still plenty of meat in the saddle. The pictures pretty much tell the rest of the story. The guitar has been played throughout its life versus left sitting in a case to warp and crack. Original case is pretty beat up as you can see. Pictures: I've taken what I thought was relevant. I can attempt to get other shots upon request.Shipping: Shipping is $55.00 in the lower 48 states. Anything outside that area (including international) please contact for shipping cost/availability before making offer to purchase. I have my shipping cartons custom made. Check out my feedback on past sales/shipments if you have any concern in that regard.Payment: Payment via PayPal or cash if local pickup.Guitar sold as-is and sale is final. If you have any doubts about anything before making offer, please ask. I will do my best to answer any question as honestly and accurately as I can. I do want you to be happy with your purchase. Thanks for taking the time to view my listing!
