This is really cool. You are looking at a 1965 Silvertone 1482 Tube Combo Amp. Silvertone was the brand name that Sears was using for all of their musically related products in the 1960s including guitars, amplifiers, radios, record players and more. Sears would contract with another manufacturer to make products that they could then sell through their popular catalog. The Silvertone amplifiers manufactured by Danelectro in the mid-1960s have become the most popular among guitar players for their great tube tone and Cold War-era styling. In Production from 1963 to 1968. This is a 1965 model with the Diamond shape speaker baffle. Original 12" Fisher Speaker. The Silvertone 1482 was introduced in 1963 and was one of the most popular catalog amps throughout the 1960s. The 1482 was very similar to the short lived 6G3 Fender Deluxe (brown face) with tremolo circuit but has a bit earlier break up than the Deluxe. Like the Deluxe, the 1482 is powered by two 12ax7 preamp tubes, two 6v6 power tubes in a push/pull configuration and a 12″ speaker . It differs from the Deluxe in that it’s voiced a bit darker and breaks up a little earlier. The amp is very responsive and dynamic offering a range of playing styles all within the change in the player’s attack on the strings.Awesome Recording or Bedroom / Studio Amp. Breaks up early. Does NOT peel the paint off walls. However you could gig with this in small venues. Warm, Gritty, Crunchy. Fat Tone that sounds delightful!Adult Owned, One Owner Amp from a Pet and Smoke Free Home. The former owner purchased this new when he was a teenager in 1965.
Serial Number : #AC067076Weight: 23 lbs.
Affordable USA Vintage Tube Amp!Our Amp Tech did a Major Service on this Amp. You will not have to spend any additional monies. Gig Ready on Arrival!Cosmetics: Excellent Condition. Grill cloth isfaed and stained but otherwise in great shape. No rips or tears. The Tremolo knob is not original. It is slightly smaller. Dripping with "Mojo" The wear is what makes it authentic and cool. This is the "Real Deal" Overall, good shape. Normal wear and tear. It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely.
