1948 Selmer "SBA" Super Balanced Action Tenor Sax - Overhauled Two Years Ago. Here's a very rare and in very good condition 1948 Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor sax s/n 35818. It was overhauled two years ago and hasn't been used since then. As you can see in the pictures the pads are in very good condition. It has metal resonator. I find the action to be fast and responsive. The original lacquer is almost faded which gives the horn its vintage look. I noticed two minor dings, one on the bottom of the sax and the other on the lower part of the bell. I tried my best to make it visible in the pictures. The neck is in very good shape with no pull down. The case is original Selmer case in very good condition.
