Sounds really amazing, nice fat and warm tone with great sounding EQs.8 of the PREs have ALTRAN input transformers (ala chandler gear) and ST. Ives (ala neve gear) on the outputs. There's treble/mid/bass eq. mid-range is selectable to 3 different freq. points. hi-pass at two points, phase reversal, and phantom (on 8 channels).The other set of 8 channels are a bit different. They have stock input transformer (Tamura) with St. ives on the outputs (Neve), and no phantom. that's the only difference.All freq points of the EQs have been modified to resemble that 1073 sound. Also the EQs have been tweaked (wide and musical). They are really wonderful sounding EQs (inductors) and never sound terrible no matter how much you push them.You can also select line level on the input section and mix through it for OTB EQ or just driving sources with the transformers.
