I'm selling this classic Neve 1092 / 1073 preamp eq with a single channel rack and PSU. It sounds great and has been recapped. The case looks nice in the rack and works perfectly. Currently its only wired for mic input, no line. I'm willing to knock off $250 if you don't want the rack. The unit works great, although there are a few dirty positions on the gain control pot. They require an extra jiggle but always work. There are many variations and similar models but the 1092 is in fact a 1073 that was made for an EMI Singapore console, specifically A3094. I contacted David Clark of Neve AMS for a bit of history on the topic. He had this to say:The 1092 is similar to 1073, it was originally created for an EMI contract, A3094.
The main difference was the screening of the front panel. Mic input sensitivity was called Mic Gain, Line input sensitivity called Line Gain. Mike Batchelor of EMI engineering specified that all the transformers were specially selected to have less than 0.1% distortion at 30Hz.
