All these date this amplifier to October/November 1962.This is no exception to the rarity and build-quality of these favoured early fawn copper tops.Service HistoryWe pride ourselves on our inspections and the professional service of each amplifier, making this ready to plug in and play anywhere within the UK. This has just been looked at and cleaned up to the best of our ability.Cosmetic InspectionYou can see the condition of this amplifier in the photographs. It is naturally worn to give it the character you see. The previous owner had had it since new. In the change over from fawn to black tolex in the early 60s, he painted some of the amplifier to 'fit in'. We have removed as much as possible of this black paint, leaving the fawn underneath. Note that it was only part of the sides and the top that were originally painted - all other parts of the tolex has not been touched. It is a beauty!OriginalityIn our opinion, this is mostly original. The handles have been changed from the brown leather to the black SBUs. The Vox logo is period but has been tacked in to the front. There have been a few small internal parts that have been changed in the service, but nothing significant. Everything of value still remains, including the transformers, speakers, cones, pedal, etc.SummaryOne of the best quality amplifiers you’ll find. These exceed the quality of most new amplifiers and are always on the increase in regards to collectability and value.Come along and have a play! Please click on the photographs below to see the high quality versions.
