Made in Kalamazoo, MI    USAUp for your consideration is an all original 1951 Gibson TB 100 Tenor Banjo with original case. Instrument and case is all original in stock, serial number 6484-39.
This banjo sports a maple two tone tobacco sunburst resonator with white binding. Resonator has some flame figuring in it.  The finish on the resonator is checked. 2" long crack in the finish where heal of neck rests into the resonator on the base bout side.  Comes with original one piece flange.  British Honduran mahogany neck and original bone nut.  Unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay and side fret markers.  Center dip dove wing peg head.  Gold decal logo.  Gold pancake tuners with a three to one ratio. Original truss rod cover with screws.  Original calf skin arched head.Original arm rest and tail pieceOriginal three thumb screws for the flangeAll tesion rods and lugs are present and originalAfter market bridge is installed but the banjo does come with the original bridgeOriginal lug keyOriginal case is black tolex with green felt on the inside.  All latches working as well as the original handle.Original arm restVery minimal fret wearStrings are not originalNo fingernail pits in fret board No Lacquer wear on neckNo belt buckle rashInstrument has not been cleaned up-that will be the new owners job.  O the joy!  We have described this as accurate to the best of our ability.Please ask questions before bidding and If you want better pictures please let us know.International bidders we put the exact price on customs forms.
