Antique tarogato (taragot) by Meinel & Herold in excellent playing condition - fully overhauled - the pads are new. Keys are adjusted and cleaned. Free of cracks on the wood. The tarogato is woodwind instrument in Bb with a conical bore similar to soprano saxophone. Made of wood. six brass keys, 9 open holes(two on the bell), 442Hz., all length without mouthpiece-62.6cm. National instrument of Hungary. The mouthpiece and reed are similar to the clarinet. The fingering are similar to an albert -system clarinet. Made in Germany ca.1930’s.
