Hi, For sale is this superb Kanilea Tenor 8 string ukulele, solid koa, satin finish with case. There's a small ding / indentation (pictured), and the case is a little scuffed, otherwise this uke is in great shape, with no cracks or other play-wear.Hawaiian made Kanilea ukes are some of the nicest uke's out there, and this one is no exception. It has a satin finish which makes the color a little lighter than many gloss finished koa uke's, but the finish is such that there is a nice shimmer to the finish at the right angles of light, and the wood is nice and stripy. The satin finish on the neck makes it really playable, without the slight stickiness that you can get sometimes with a gloss finished neck. The tuners are high quality open and hold precisely (you'll want that on an 8 string especially!) Its got a rosewood fretboard, a pin bridge and nu-bone nut and saddle.The sound! That is what's phenomenal about this uke. The best sounding 8 string I've heard. Many 8 strings are dominated by the upper register and come off sounding a bit overly bright. This has a nice balanced tone, with just the right amount of 8 string shimmer without being overpoweringly jangly. You'll love it!The action is also really good for an 8 string which makes it relatively easy to play.I wish I could hang on to it, but I need the funds! Please see my other auctions!Thanks!
