5700 piece sheet music collection. Of which, less than 200 items are songbooks. About three-quarters of the collection are wrapped in poly sleeves. The majority of the items in poly sleeves also are protected with cardboard. These items were purchased as part of an estate belonging to a life-long sheet music collector in Minnesota. Most of the music is from the late 19th Century to Mid 20th Century. There are a number of categories: military, Hawaiian, black Americana, show tunes and musicals, accordion, waltzes and marches, rags, American popular song/tin Pan Alley, Chorale music, polkas, WWII, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Irving Berlin. Condition varies, but is generally good to above average. We did not pull out music from protective sheets to inspect, therefore there is the possibility of split spines. Mostly looks very well cared for by life-long collector. We counted by hand, but are human! The count is, therefore, approximate.
