Description Brand: Excelsior Country/Region of Manufacture: Italy
An Excelsior Continental Accordion Van Damme Model is like new and totally reconditioned in Castelfidardo, Italy. All handmade reeds are the best you can buy and have been re-waxed and tuned. Includes double bassoon register. A one of a kind jewel only for the serious musician. Don't let this pass you by!Here is more information on the instrument. The Serial number is 340. It is an Excelsior vintage accordion from the late 60s or early 70s. I'm the second owner of the instrument and purchased it from a friend a few years ago. Last year I completely refurbished it. I took it to Italy and it was repaired by a master accordion craftsman in Castelfidardo, Italy. They installed double bassoon, removed the reeds, re-waxed them and put them back in, etc. The restoration cost $3000. No scratches. I am selling it because this instrument is stradella and am now playing on a freebase system and therefore requires a different accordion. The accordion has barely been used. If you bought the instrument new it would cost $15000 minimum. The color is black and the grill sparkles in the light, but is hard to see in pictures.
