This auction is for a 4 piece Rogers Drum set from approximately 1969 or 1970 and includes Zildjian cymbals and hardware. The drums are thin maple shells with grey interiors and reinforcement rings. The interior labels read Fullerton California.Included in this auction are the following items:5" X 14" Dynasonic snare drum. The drum is complete and in very good condition with good chrome, minimal scratches and a properly working snare strainer. No extra holes.9" X 13" rack tom. This drum is in good condition with decent chrome and covering. A 1" split can be found at the seem, but remains stabile with no wood showing. The logo side that faces the drummer in the arrangement shown has numerous stick hits, probably resulting from some jazzy sticking against the side of the drum. The bottom rim is a replacement.16" X 16" Floor Tom. This drum is also in good condition, in the same shape as the 13" tom. Like the 13" tom, a 1" split can be found along the seem. Three of the floor tom leg mounting bracket screws are not original and need a hexagonal key to operate, but the thread and size is correct and the legs are functional. The bottom rim is a replacement.14" X 22" Bass Drum. Generally in good condition, this drum has a split in the finish extending between 3 lugs. The split parallels the "grain" of the finish and can be difficult to see, especially if obscured by a ride cymbal. The hoops are in good shape with 90% of the inlay intact (missing inlay sections lie on the bottom). 3 or 4 T-rods were noticeably bent and straightened. Many of the other t rods wobble slightly when you spin them, but they don't look bent when the drum is being used. One of the collets used to secure the bass drum spur is missing a wing.Zildjian 14" New Beat Hi Hats, late 60's/70's vintage, these hats are in excellent condition with no issues. A very light delicate sound.Zildjian 22" medium ride. Same vintage as the hi hats, this cymbal compliments the hi hats very, very nicely. A fairly pronounced keyhole is present however, but is now protected from further damage with a Grombal.A full set of hardware is also included, including 2 lovely cymbal stands, one a flush base model of unknown make, the other being a tripod type from Sonor. A rogers snare stand is also in good condition, and original except for a wing nut. the tom holder is included, as are a very ancient Slingerland bass drum pedal and hi-hat stand. These drums sound fabulous when tuned very high for jazz, and very warm when tuned lower. An amazing value for a true vintage sound.
