Albert Cooper solid silver handmade headjoint (1991) For sale is one of the rarer finds on the market. Albert Cooper is known as one of the most important flute makers of the last century and his 'Cooper Scale' is now adopted by the majority of modern flute makers. Originally a craftsman with Rudall Carte, Albert Cooper started making his own flutes in 1959 and from a shed in his garden produced some of the world's most sought-after instruments, primarily because of his exquisite workmanship on the headjoints.
