I'm not sure where to begin, this guitar is a bit of a mystery.  I'll begin by telling you what I do know for sure.  It has had Joe Barden pickups installed ($440 pick ups alone), factory locking tuners (I believe),  a wide nut I measure 1 3/4",  chunky neck ( referred to as C shape, #3), beautiful ebony fretboard without any markers, a nice binding (I don't believe it to be maple, probably just not stained), neck is dated at Dec. 28, 2006,  body stamped Dec. 7, 2006.   When I purchased this guitar through eBay years ago,  it came with it's original? fullerton pickups and some paperwork.  I gave the pickups to a friend and can not find the paperwork, I'll continue the search.  The neck joint is super tight, the overall workmanship unbelievable.  The only Fender I've seen that comes close came out of their custom shop!  This guitar seems practically unplayed, no scratches or dings, and still smells new out of the case.  The case on the other hand has a few scuffs and so forth but nothing preventing it from functioning as it should.  Okay, now for what I don't know.  I get confused researching this guitar, the body is marked as an S 3, this would explain the locking tuners but not the bridge or pickups.  I believe it to be a Classic S model built in one of G&L's early limited production runs with a custom neck.  Whatever the case may be it's a terrific guitar,  I'm having a hard time letting go of.  My best of wishes towards it's new home.
