For sale is a circa 1971 Gretsch drumset in peacock satin flame.This is a players kit in that it is missing a few parts,the satin flame wrap is rough,and has some extra holes.From a few feet away these drums look amazing and they look especially cool under the stage lights.I will do drum by drum with condition.14X20 bass drum has 4 extra holes under the slingerland mount from a diamond plate mount.These are not visible from the outside,and the Slingerland mount works great and is in great condition.8X12 tom has 2 extra holes on the drummer side of the mount.These are not visible from the audience side.Missing both internal mufflers.9X13 tom has no extra holes and is complete.16X16 floor tom Has 2 extra holes under two of the floor tom leg brackets.These are only visible from inside the drum.There is also 1 extra hole by one of the internal mufflers but it faces the drummer and is not visible to the audience.It is missing the bottom diecast hoop.That is all of the negative,on the positive side you get an extremely cool,great sounding vintage gretsch kit with lots of mojo that would make a great studio kit,great for restoration,or just a great kit you would not be afraid to bring to the club or bar for gigs!!All drums have silver sealer and paper labels inside of the shells. Modern heads fit snug,but still fit.You don't need a mallet to get them on or off!
