ONE OF A KINDsteampunk style sculptural lamp, made from an old celloDOES NOT FUNCTION AS A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT - it is a piece of art, with lighting Completely hot rodded with pick ups, organ parts, a speaker (not functional) antique pilot lights, bicycle sprocket for a string bridge, piano strings, vintage safe dial (turns but does not control anything)copper pick guard - hammered w/patina has 3 vintage toggle switches, each controlling a light (two on the body - one inside) - copper is riveted to the cello bodyAll vintage/antique parts, but retrofitted with all new, UL approved electrical components - long life LEDs (wired into sockets, so they're replaceable if they ever burn out), vintage style lamp cordInstrument is designed with a hanging bracket for wall mount, or can be leaned up against a wall, etc., using the internal, extendable metal post/stand (original)(this was what is called a 1/2 size cello - 42" tall, whereas a full sized cello is about 48" tall)I created this myself in my workshop - feel free to look on my website for a few extra photos - 'deja voodoo brand' - happy to answer any questionsNOT shown in the photos: • there is a copper, laser etched and laser cut 'DVB' nameplate - attached to the side of the cello (photo of my business cards in listing)• on the back of the cello body are two leather panels with small bronze screws, which allow access to inside to change out the bulbs if they burn out (rated for about 40,000 hours)Item will ship from Idaho, VERY WELL packaged and fully insured, which is why the shipping is expensive.
