Up for grabs is a Prism Sound Orpheus Firewire A/D audio interface unit. (Thunderbolt adapter is available from Prism)This is the second (and last) one of these units I have to sell. The other one sold last week to a very happy buyer in Germany.It doesn't really get any better than this when it comes to recording digital audio. Here's the low-down on the unit from the company: http://www.prismsound.com/music_recording/products_subs/orpheus/orpheus_home.phpThe piece I'm selling is in immaculate condition bar one tiny, light hairline scratch next to the power switch (see photo). Other than that it looks like a brand new unit. I've only used it on 2 sessions so it has hardly any hours on it. Also included is the original box - which has the matching serial no. of the unit stamped on it - plus all the original leads, of which none have been used other than the power lead and one of the USB cables. I only opened the rack-ears so I could mount it in a case for protection, but they are also included of course, as are the bolts and allen-key. As well as that is the installation CD which has the drivers, but check with the Prism website as there may be more current ones available. Also there is the hard copy of the manual, and the power lead (not in the photos as I forgot to include it).Absolutely stunning sound quality and the 4 onboard pre-amps are crystal clean and sound fantastic. I used this with my Sytek 4 channel preamp (see other auction) and had 8 of the best pre-amp'd channels you could wish for in 4U! Can't say enough good things about this thing. If you have multiple units you can daisy chain them (as I did) and you can also sync other non-Prism units too using ADAT/Lightpipe. You'll be hard pushed to find a used unit in such good condition, and at this price you're saving over £700 on the cost of a new one!Please note I am not an expert musical equipment dealer and I understand that people's gradings can vary, that said I believe I have provided my best interpretation of the item's condition so please study the photo(s) and ask questions if you need to.
