Atkinson NR501 Double Horn made of Ambrose brass. This horn is a professional horn with a sound very similar to the older style Conn 8D model. This horn is 100% American made, manufactured in Burbank, California at the Atkinson Horn Factory. I purchased this horn directly from the factory in 2006. It has some minor cosmetic blemishes including some lacquer wear and some minor dents, typical for wear. The rotors and slides are tight and in great condition. Overall, it is in excellent condition as it has had fairly little wear. The bell is thin wall, screw on, European style. I no longer have a lot of opportunity to play and hate to see a great instrument sit on a shelf.
