Offered is a hard to find set of the first issue Meinl Marathon Series Conga drums. Very high quality German made oak shells finished in a red/burgundy finish. Excellent quality chrome plated hardware. Meinl just celebrated the 30th anniversary of their conga production reissuing the Marathon series that started it all for company. These are the 1980's originals that the new series are modeled after. The condition of these congas is nice. The finish shows wear, dings and scratches to the surfaces from use. Check the images for an indication of the condition and ask any questions you might have. These congas are solid and crack free. The heads are vintage original cow and in nice shape. Fairly thick heads that give a very full creamy tone. These congas sound fantastic. You will not be disappointed in their great tone!
