Flute - Gemeinhardt **Used** Solid Silver Custom X SY51 First off this is untested. It doesn't appear to be in the best condition so it might not be in playing condition. In fact it probably is not in playing condition. It could definitely use some TLC from someone who knows about flutes. If more pictures will help you determine please let me know and I'll do my best. I have yet to be able to track down much specifics about this flute. It says "solid silver" on it and also says "custom". I went to the Gemeinhardt site looking for the serial number to try and date this, but couldn't find it by model or serial number.I did find a blog online where someone was asking about this model number and I read someone answer..."This is a special signature edition of the 3HS flute" ....so I went back to the Gemeinhardt site and couldn't find that model either. I'm assuming they meant "3SH" series which appear to have run from approx. 1982 to 1992, but the serial number doesn't match up there either.
There are different versions that are similar in model number to "3SH" so it might be a different one.....or might be a different model all together. We just know it says SY51 on it, X, and solid silver.....we will continue trying to find out what exactly this is, but if you are reading this it is likely you probably know more about it than we do.....and for the right offer this can be yours!Feel free to ask any questions.
