Vintage Penzel Mueller Bel Canto Bb Boehm Wood Clarinet Overhauled

Up for sale is this c.1950 vintage Bb Boehm system 'Bel Canto' model clarinet by Penzel Mueller of NY. It is grenadilla wood with nickel alloy keys and an extra large bore of .590" - nice Jazz horn! It is in great vintage condition, with no crack repairs to the body, and a couple sealed hairlines in the barrel. The clarinet has been disassembled, soaked in oil, keys swedged and countersunk (to remove lost motion), body and keys buffed, all new Ferree leather pads and cork installed, and reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. Big, open tone with good response through the registers, good ergonomics and intonation. I am really pleased with the play-ability of the instrument! Includes a period case (probably original) in good condition. Please see for more pics and information.
