It is the Yamaha 241 model which is resin and is considered a student model for beginning oboe students. It is in excellent condition. No scratches, nicks, etc. It has very good tone for a resin oboe.I started taking oboe lessons with this oboe 2 and 1/2 years at age 69. Now my teacher wants me to move up to an intermediate oboe. I paid $2000 for it and my teacher says that it has excellent tone for a resin oboe and is in mint condition. It has always been in my non-smoking home.
