This is the outstanding G9241 Alligator Biscuit Round-Neck resonator from the Gretsch Roots series. The Roots Series resonator guitars are some of the best values we've seen in this genre. Their modest price belies their great tone and excellent playability. The Alligator model features a wood body combined with biscuit bridge that makes for a punchy lo-fi tone with great projection. The wood body yields a bit softer and sweeter tone that the brass and steel body biscuit resonators. This is a great little resonator with a ton of personality. The biscuit bridge sound is a little more “rounded” then the Spider Cone offering increased volume and dynamic range especially in the mid range frequencies. Players looking for the classic Delta Blues sound will generally go for a resonator with a biscuit bridge. It also comes with a Fishman Nashville pickup, so you can take your Alligator Biscuit’s volume to new heights. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer.
