Original unmolested package. An OAHU / Alamo, 6 string lap steel guitar. An Alamo AMP-3 tube amp, birch veneer over plywood. The original Geib case for the guitar. The amp schematics, warranty card, parts list, and operating instructions. Two metal fingerpicks, a metal thumb pick, and the steel slide bar. The original canvas cover for the amp. The original OAHU folding metal tripod stand for the guitar, and the original amp to guitar cable. This is a complete package, as I got it, not put together from parts, and pieces. The guitar, has some wear on it. The body, is in good shape, no major nicks, or dings. The volume, and tone pots both have a slight crackling sound, should clean up fine. The tuners look like Kluson's with the split shaft feature, the string end tucks into the spindle shaft. They all work great. The pick, finger picks, and slide, all canme with this package. The guitar case, is a Geib, has badge inside. The top case divider has come loose on one side, and the lip of the lid, has torn loose from the lower hinge. The stand, ( I cannot find any others anywhere to compare this to), is heavy, well made. Looks like nickle plated steel. The legs fold like a tripod, the top plate unbolts from the post. There are swing out supports, for various size guitars. This stand telescopes from a sitting position height, to a standing position height. There is a remnant of the "OAHU" decal on the main support plate of the stand. See pix number 7. The guitar to amp cable, is in bad physical shape, but still works. The paperwork consists of; the string tag, the warranty registration postcard, the amp parts list, the amp operating instructions, and the amp wiring schematic. The Amp-3 was manufactured by Alamo Electronics Corp. of San Antonio, Texas, for The Oahu Publishing Co. of Cleveland OH. This amp model began production in 1949, the serial number on the amp is 826 (low number). It still has the two conductor power cord. Jensen Alinco 5, 6" speaker, with a four digit "5304" stamped on it. If I am correct on the code, the speaker was made 4th week of 1953. The speaker sounds good, no rattles. The birch wood cabinet has lost a little of its veneer on the front, bottom. See pix number 9. Some of the piseces have been reglued, by an amateur, not quite aligned correctly. One piece missing. The amp powers up, and sound good. It does have a buzz, that is volume control sensitive. The two conductor power cord, could be part of the problem. Both volume, and tone pots have a slight crackle when turned. This should go away wirh a little pot clean / lube. The canvas amp cover is the original. Overall this equipment is in great shape for it's age, and is a RARE find, a package like this, intact. Will all ship in one box.
