2016 Gibson Custom Shop Limited Run, Aged 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue, From The Book "Beauty Of The Burst"Reproduced from the original 1958 Les Paul Standard on page 11 of the Yasuhiko Iwanade book "Beauty of the Burst" this guitar is an absolutely stunning and phenomenal limited run historic reissue.  Hand crafted on the most accurate and detailed vintage specs available, then painstakingly aged to perfection by the best luthiers in the business.Nearly 60 years of nicks, dings, and finish checking have been lovingly recreated to honor this iconic masterpiece.  The top on this guitar is simply incredible and the hours of masterful hand aging and expert finishing have created a true vintage look.  If an outstanding Cherry Sunburst on premium select maple is your thing, you will look long and hard to find one better, especially on a limited edition run '58, and at this price.  I'll just have to let the pictures do the talking.So how does it sound? Dickey Betts and Duane Allman bending their way into "Blue Sky" together for the last time, and the late Paul Kossoff stepping forward to begin his legendary lead on "All Right Now" come to mind.  Warm, woody, rich, melodically articulate, and timeless. And what about playability?Perfectly balanced weight of 8 lbs. 9 oz.  Super comfortable C profile late 50's neck that plays like butter and bends like a Tennessee river.  Definitely will make the wife or girlfriend jealous.These are getting difficult to get your hands on and easily one of the best I've seen.
